Annual Children’s Health Fair

The Children’s Health Fair was held on April 30th at the Oasis Theater from 3:00 p.m. The event was hosted by Making Connections 4U, the Nogales Unified School District, The Santa Cruz Superintendent’s Office, and SACASA. The event was held in celebration of Children’s Day. Nogales Unified School District and the Santa Cruz Superintendent’s Office sponsored 200 tickets for the first 200 children in attendance. Several organizations helped to make this successful and memorable event for all the children in attendance. Children enjoyed an afternoon of face painting, coloring, and goodies. Organizations that participated are: Nogales Police Department, Nogales Fire Department, the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office, the Nogales Border Patrol, Mariposa Community Health Center, Luminaria Luthern Social Services, KNOG Radio Station, Nogales Mexican Consulate, the Santa Cruz County Recorder’s Office, and the Office of Mayor John Doyle.
