6th Annual World Autism Month Celebration

The Southern Arizona Autism Association hosted their 6th Annual World Autism Month Celebration on Saturday, April 6th, from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Teyechea Park.It was a binational event where over 50 vendors were invited, with 5 organizations from Nogales, Sonora. It was a free event open to the public with 500 people in attendance, where they had the opportunity to learn about the different resources in Santa Cruz County.

This event was held to help families and community members connect to local resources and find the services they need. Families who have children or youth with autism had an opportunity to meet with local organizations who offer a variety of services.

“We bring the professionals to one location, so families have an opportunity to ask questions, register for programs and get the support or guidance from other families who are going through the same journey. said Michelle Jacques President of Southern Arizona Autism Association. We are extremely grateful to Wild and Free Ranch for our partnership to work collaboratively to improve the lives of those living with Autism. We are thankful to our sponsor Unisource for their continued support and to all the families and volunteers that work with us on all programs and projects,” said Michelle Jacques President of Southern Arizona Autism Association.  For more information please call (520) 477-1227 or email them directly at info@soazaa.org
