In October, Rio Rico High School Career and Technical Education (CTE) hosted their first of two Local Advisory Committee (LAC) meetings for the 2013-2014 school year. RRHS Student Selected as NHRP Scholar

Joel Leyva, Rio Rico High School senior, received word from The College Board that he is a 2013-2014 National Hispanic Recognition Program (NHRP) Scholar, recognizing him as an “academically exceptional Hispanic/Latino student.” According to The College Board, this year the NHRP selected 5,300 Hispanic/Latino students from a pool of over 259,000 candidates for this distinction.
